Jira Software Server and Data Center 8.0 is built for speed and scalability. It brings substantial performance improvements and a more updated look and feel. Together with the new Jira Misc Workflow Extensions (JMWE) 6.0.0, you can make work flow better and faster than ever.
Don’t break your workflows - upgrade now
To ensure the upgrade to Jira 8 does not disrupt your existing workflows, we recommend that you upgrade JMWE before upgrading to Jira 8.
If you don’t have active maintenance for JMWE, you can renew it here or from the “Manage add-on” page.
Jira Misc Workflow Extensions 6.0.0 supports:
- Jira Software and Jira Core 7.0.11 and above (including Jira 8)
- Jira Service Desk 3.0.11 and above (including Jira Service Desk 4)
What else is new in JMWE 6
JMWE Validators now support a new Conditional Validation option that allows you to specify under which circumstances validation should occur. For example, if you want to make a field mandatory only if the issue is of Blocking priority, you can use the Field Required Validator together with the following condition:
issue.getAsString("priority") == "Blocker"
The Groovy script tester page has been renamed to Groovy Console.
To learn more about the additional Groovy improvements and bug fixes, read the Jira Misc Workflow Extensions 6.0.0 Release Notes.
